Fixed Term Contract

Most workplaces that use fixed-term contracts are likely aware of the changes to the Fair Work Act introduced in December 2023, as well as the more recent updates to fixed-term contract exceptions implemented on 1 November 2024.

Given the high volume of enquiries our Business Advice Hotline receives about the rules for engaging employees on fixed-term contracts, we believe it’s an ideal time to host another informative webinar. This session will provide businesses with valuable information on:

  • The rules for fixed term contracts
  • Limitations on fixed term contracts and the exceptions
  • What happens if a contract doesn’t meet the limitations
  • Fair Work Ombudsman Fixed Term Contract Information Statement requirements
  • Disputes about fixed term contracts including the powers of the Fair Work Commission

Join us for a webinar facilitated by our Industrial relations experts Kathryn Rees and Elisa Luck on Tuesday 17 December 2024 at 10:30am to 11:30am where we will demystify fixed term contracts and make sure you are across all you need to know.
