Over 600 South Australian businesses have gained significant advantages from a specialised program aimed at enhancing the skills of both emerging and current managers.

Offered by the South Australian Business Chamber, this course is designed to elevate management capabilities through effective delegation, goal setting, and performance feedback.

Titled Creating Highly Effective Managers,’ this intensive two-day program equips new and existing managers with a comprehensive toolkit of management resources, fostering optimal performance for both them and their teams.

This course is perfect for new managers and those seeking to sharpen their leadership skills,” said Cindy Jackway, Training Manager at the South Australian Business Chamber.

Even experienced managers can benefit from revisiting management fundamentals, particularly as the next generation of workers enters the workforce,” Ms Jackway added.

The program covers a broad spectrum of essential management topics and is one of many leadership courses now available from the South Australian Business Chamber. Participants will explore various management concepts and understand diverse styles through behavioural profiling.

A key focus of the course is on the importance of health and wellbeing in cultivating high-performance teams.

Managers will learn to identify and manage stress effectively for both them and their team members.

The course addresses handling difficult conversations, including performance reviews, ensuring that managers are well-prepared to tackle challenging situations with confidence.

Strategies for goal setting, target setting, and effective delegation are also integral parts of the training, enabling managers to apply these practices seamlessly within their teams.

Due to high demand, the August intake for the program has already sold out, with new places available for November 2024.
