With the recent run of data breaches, different businesses have tackled these crises in different ways? Some have remained relatively quiet, some have sent sparing emails, others have hit the press conference with open arms.

How would you handle a crisis in your company? Or explain a complex situation to a very broad and diverse public audience?

Before you jump in front of the local news reporter, you should understand what the media need as a first step. This includes who they are, what are the pressures they are facing, and how can you help them deliver the story in the best way.
