Thirty Niners BSAT1

In March, the South Australian Business Chamber launched ThirtyNiners, a new membership program from the Chamber of Commerce that brings together future-focused leaders who are 40 and under to collaborate, shape, share, and learn. The goal is to provide an environment where through collaboration these leaders shape policy for South Australia’s future.

Andrew Kay, CEO of The Chamber said In conversation with founding and prospective members of ThirtyNiners, we are discovering an outstanding desire to challenge the status quo, and a desire to work together to build a stronger South Australia”

One of the founding members of ThirtyNiners, Luke Timmins from Adelaide and Hills Lawns and Gardens, believes that You can gain a lot of learning from doing. Engaging in conversation, sharing failures and successes.” His co-members unique energy and collaborative nature have him looking forward to sharing and learning from them at upcoming ThirtyNiners events and beyond.

Another founding member, Jess MacDonald, Executive Director of Yanun Project Services, appreciates the hard work of incredible business owners who have built South Australia in the generation ahead of ThirtyNiners. She expressed her desire to work with more senior business leaders, to learn and collaborate. For me, we are the next generation coming through, so if we can work with them and there can be a relationship, I believe we can make a really great, positive impact.”

She further explains this demographic of entrepreneurs brings a unique set of skills and qualities to the table, they have grown up with technology, they are creative, they are purpose-driven, and collaboration trumps competition. Their fresh perspectives are powerful, and their ambition is infectious.”

Already seeing the way this group of young leaders can impact South Australia’s future, this is the opportunity to take a deep dive into this demographic to ensure we are providing an environment that fosters authentic and meaningful outcomes for future generations.

Through ThirtyNiners, The Chamber of Commerce will build a community of driven leaders who can shape South Australia’s policy and business landscape. By working together, these business leaders can help South Australia to stay ahead of the curve, maintain its competitive edge, and foster an environment that encourages innovation.

If you’re a young entrepreneur looking to collaborate, shape, share, and learn, then ThirtyNiners may be the perfect community for you.
