In a night filled with celebration and recognition, world-leading defence and space provider QuantX Labs clinched the prestigious title of South Australian Business of the Year, while open-source intelligence company Fivecast was honoured as South Australia’s Exporter of the Year at the 2024 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards.

These accolades were among the highlights of an evening that saw 26 of the state’s most outstanding businesses acknowledged in various categories, including Willoway Farming, named Family Business of the Year, and BioCina, as Emerging Business of the Year.

The awards ceremony, hosted by the South Australian Business Chamber in collaboration with the Government of South Australia, took place at the Adelaide Convention Centre last Friday 11 October. More than 600 business leaders gathered to recognise the accomplishments of local enterprises, in a night of glamour and celebration.

Premier Peter Malinauskas offered congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s awards.

The Chamber has put together an awards program that honours the hard work and ingenuity that each of these businesses has displayed.

The quality of nominations reflects the breadth of outstanding companies we have here in South Australia.

I would like to congratulate all the nominees, finalists and winners, in particular Fivecast for winning the Major South Australian Exporter of the Year Award and QuantX Labs for winning the Business of the Year Award,” said the Premier.

Andrew Kay, CEO of South Australian Business Chamber, praised the achievements of the night’s winners, noting the difficulty faced by judges in selecting from an outstanding pool of nominees.

The quality of submissions was incredibly strong once again,” said Mr Kay. Choosing a winning business from the finalists was challenging across all categories, highlighting the growing number of innovative and high-achieving businesses that call South Australia home.”

I congratulate all the winners and express my sincere gratitude to our major sponsors, MEGT and Thomas Foods International, category sponsors, and the Government of South Australia whose support made the event possible,” Mr Kay added.

The South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards will return in 2025, continuing to honour South Australian business excellence.
