Property manager hopes for income tripling encore

Wednesday, April 27th 2022

Offering exemplary customer service and providing great customer value is a passion for Natalie Abbott. She had a dream to offer this through her own property management company where she could take away the stress of her clients.

Managing rental properties can be challenging but it is my passion, says Natalie.

To grow my business, I needed to be confident presenting my business to new clients, I needed to understand marketing, workplace law and a myriad of other topics. It was about learning to run a business successfully.

The South Australian Business Chamber Encore Program was the best decision to keep me accountable to growing my business. The support of the South Australian Business Chamber staff and also the one on one contact with my mentor were the aspects of the program I valued the most.

I was paired with an industry expert who assisted in the business growth and development, and kept me accountable. The South Australian Business Chamber staff and lecturers provided assistance in all areas of the program, from developing a business plan to linking me with other experts who were able to assist my business in various areas.

The networking opportunities were paramount!”

Since completing the Encore Program, I have tripled my income generated, have employed another staff member, and have engaged a bookkeeper.

Encore has helped me achieve so many of my business and personal goals.”

The South Australian Business Chamber Manager of Entrepreneurs Programs Jade Henschke says that Natalie’s experience is what most of the Encore participants leave with.

We are really committed to delivering the best entrepreneur programs for these business owners.

Over 11 months, participants attend workshops on business modelling, law, sales and customer service, marketing, PR, finance, leadership and entrepreneurial thinking, HR, and digital engagement.

Participants finish the program with a complete business plan that has been reviewed by successful business owners who volunteer their time as mentors.”

The Encore Program costs $1600. Applications for the June intake are now open, and for those in the 5000 or 5006 postcode, you may be eligible for a complimentary place courtesy of the City of Adelaide.
