National Carers Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution that Australia’s 2.65 million unpaid family and friend carers make to our country. Anyone at any time can become a carer, and National Carers Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness among all Australians about the diversity of Carers and their caring roles.
The theme for this National Carers Week is Millions of Reasons to Care.
Carers form a safety net for our health, aged, disability, palliative and community care systems. On this special week we acknowledge the role of carers in the community and celebrate their significant contribution to our community.
