In the most challenging conditions, the South Australian Business Chamber Corporate Member the Adelaide Fringe successfully delivers in 2022. Artistic Director/CEO Heather Croall thanks Fringe staff, artists, venues, crews, funders, sponsors, the board, donors, members, volunteers, and the massive numbers of audience members.
Here at the South Australian Business Chamber, we want to recognise the artists. These creative entrepreneurs made a herculean effort to get their shows off the ground in the toughest of conditions this year. During a global pandemic, these small business owners have survived and it has been incredibly tough. This resilience is a credit to their passion for and love of performance.
And to the South Australian venues, we salute you. Struggling with density restrictions and close contact rules did not deter them from hosting the creative entrepreneurs of the Fringe. That is exceptional commitment and collaboration. It is what makes Adelaide, in fact, Radelaide.
To wrap up the Fringe, Heather Croall talks with fellow the South Australian Business Chamber member Richard Miller from 3 Method Marketing. And there is something different about this podcast. It took place in the incredible poddiy. What is poddiy? Richard explains:
“It’s all about user-centred design, and we’ve listened to our users. They wanted a cool and fun environment for first-time podcasters to record something of quality. Users also want it for interviewing and storytelling, so we are looking forward to get placement for the pods in pubs, hotels, unis, schools, shows etc…
“We’re so thankful to the Fringe for supporting our concept launch of the poddiys at Gluttony. It has been absolutely incredible. The poddiy experience is all about bringing back the chat.
