The South Australian Business Chamber Today

Illuminate the west end at Light ADL

Wednesday, July 13th 2022

As we brave some of the recent winter evening chills, we are reminded why with every passing light installation set up around Adelaide as part of the Illuminate Festival. the South Australian Business Chamber members have some incredible feasts for your eyes, especially when you head to Adelaide’s west end…

Ocean Data at Light ADL – created using millions of pieces of data sourced directly from underwater bases all the way from Bordeaux, France, digital art powerhouse Ouchhh Studio has created a living AI sculpture of maritime proportions. Immerse yourself in the deep ocean while all its mysteries become concrete as part of this temporal experience integrating art, science, and technology.

At the University of South Australia, the installation The Society of NanoBioSensing responds to Nordmann’s concern by creating a virtual microscope and playful interface that allows the visitor to have an embodied experience of medical nanotechnology.

Dr Andrea Rassell will discuss the creation of the installation, which is showing as part of Illuminate Adelaide’s City Lights program. The large scale projection combines hundreds of images collected over four months in residence with the Ian Potter NanoBioSensing Facility at RMIT University.
