With the federal election only 16 days away, the South Australian Business Chamber proudly supports the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s #BackAustralianBusiness campaign. This campaign puts the significant issues currently facing Australian businesses top of mind. It is not about influencing the election’s outcome.
Have you thought about what it would be like if every Aussie could get their dream job? Or what if Australia had the best opportunities in the world to do business? Or if more of today’s Aussie small businesses grew to become tomorrow’s global leaders? Or what if Australia was seen at the forefront of renewable energy technologies? And finally, what if Australia had no skills gap?
These questions form the pillars of this campaign around jobs, growth, small business, sustainability and skills. The next federal government will need to have a clear plan to address the most urgent challenges facing business in Australia. Forging a long-term reform agenda to boost investment and spur renewed productivity growth will be critical to delivering a more robust economy and higher standards of living for all Australians over the coming decades
