Beyond what is written in the official tender documents, there are many opportunities for Business Development Managers to ‘talk shop’ and collaborate to keep more work here in South Australia.
In 2014, the SA Business Development Network was born out of a coffee between three colleagues. Kevin DeCean recalls from his working life in the US and the UK that South Australia had an opportunity to do things smarter, to work with each other more, build trust and win work.
Once a month, the group gets together and talks about the current opportunities. Any Business Development Managers can join. And every 12 months, there is an expo to showcase the opportunities on a larger scale.
The South Australian Business Chamber Account Manager Paul Harris attended the 2022 expo and was impressed with the quality of conversations.
