John Crosby famously said, Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.” If that is the case, consider Michael Tellis, the South Australian Business Chamber’s recently announced Mentor of the Year, to have his brain well-picked.

Mr Tellis was awarded the title of Mentor of the Year at the Chamber’s Entrepreneurs Program graduation ceremony last Thursday night, in front of a crowd of entrepreneurs and their supporters.

As an owner, author, and developer, Mr Tellis is a seasoned business professional with a multitude of achievements under his belt, both in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Michael has made substantial contributions to mentoring participants in our Entrepreneurs Programs,” said Elisa Luck, General Manager of the South Australian Business Chamber’s Programs and Consulting.

He has a very positive and encouraging attitude, which makes him extremely effective in guiding and supporting participants.”

Mr Tellis also played a fundamental role in providing feedback on the business plans of this year’s program participants, encouraging them to define their success and maintain focus on that success to help bring the future to them. A powerful practice used by elite athletes so why not by budding entrepreneurs.

Michael’s feedback on business plans reflects his dedication to supporting participants in their entrepreneurial journey, offering both critique and encouragement to foster success and fulfilment of their entrepreneurial goals,” Ms Luck added.

Mr Tellis started his working life as an accountant, lived in Calgary and London for a couple of years, and returned to Adelaide to settle down and start a family.

In 2022, Mr Tellis left Think180, the successful IT consulting practice he co-founded in 2008 with three IT experts and turned to his latest venture, developing the Numente Framework.

The Numente Framework provides a step-by-step guide to taking an unfulfilled dream, defining it as a desire, understanding laws of success and taking inspired action to receive that dream into your life.

The name is a composition of two words: nouveau” meaning new in French and mente” meaning mind in Italian. It represents change through changing your mindset, which is the key to bringing your dreams to life and living a life where all 12 Riches of Life are achieved.

We thank Michael for his dedication to the Chamber’s programs. It is evident his extensive experience as a business owner adds valuable practical knowledge and insights to his mentoring activities,” Ms Luck concluded.
