Managing psychosocial hazards involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating factors in the workplace that can affect employees’ psychological well-being and job satisfaction. Psychosocial hazards refer to aspects of work and work environments that have the potential to cause psychological or emotional harm to workers. These hazards are not necessarily physical but can still lead to adverse health effects and reduced productivity.
Managing psychosocial hazards is crucial for maintaining a positive work environment, enhancing employee well-being, and improving overall organizational performance. It requires collaboration between employers, managers, and employees to create a supportive and healthy workplace culture.
This program will explore psychosocial hazards in the workplace, how to review existing hazard identification and risk management frameworks, and to assist determine whether all reasonably practicable steps are being taken to ensure a safe working environment.
