The South Australian Business Chamber Today

What does it mean to transition to a low carbon economy?

Tuesday, April 12th 2022

The global economy has moved on from debating whether to take action on climate change to how can it be achieved. This momentum saw the Australian Government for the first time ever commit to a net-zero policy target date as part of COP26 negotiations.

No longer a theoretical discussion, business and government leaders around the nation are grappling with their role in emissions reduction, the most cost-effective ways to do it, how to realign corporate strategy, and how to address the enablers and barriers at a policy through to business specific level. The South Australian Business Chamber member Edge Environment and Carbon Neutral Adelaide are proud to present this knowledge-sharing panel on the key issues and opportunities to collaborate as we move to a carbon neutral future.

Panelists:

  • Anna Jackson, General Manager Customer & Commercial — Interim (the South Australian Business Chamber member SA Water)
  • Matt Lang, Chief Operating Officer (the South Australian Business Chamber member Discovery Parks)
  • Tom Penny, Head of Environment (Telstra)

Facilitator: Mark Siebentritt, Executive Director (the South Australian Business Chamber member Edge Environment)
