As we all know, volunteering is essential to South Australia’s wider community, particularly the not for profit sector.
The State’s peak body for volunteering and volunteer support, Volunteering SA&NT, is developing its second annual strategy report to promote volunteerism in SA.
With your input, survey results will aid in decision-making across four key areas including: foundation investment, promotion, best practice and methods of adaptability and improvement. These areas, as well as a comprehensive list of proposed actions for change, will shape the strategic direction guiding the organisation from 2021 to 2027.

Additionally, the State Government is eager to recognise South Australian businesses that are doing great work as far as corporate social responsibility is concerned.
As a result, the Premier will be awarding a South Australian business that is positively contributing to the community through their support of volunteer work. Nominations for the 2020 Premier’s Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility are open until 24 April 2020. The award recognises businesses that are benefiting the business sector through philanthropy, partnerships or releasing staff for volunteer service.
