With the immediate future remaining a little uncertain, now is the perfect time to take matters into your own hands. Starting your own business and embarking on an entrepreneurial journey can be daunting, especially for those that have previously opted for a traditional nine to five career path. If you have thought about launching your own business or scaling your existing business, the South Australian Business Chamber can help.
The South Australian Business Chamber runs two highly successful entrepreneur development programs to support South Australians to launch or scale their business.
The South Australian Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (SAYES) is a 12-month program designed to assist young South Australians aged 18 – 35 years to successfully launch and/or run a successful and sustainable business.
Encore is a 12-month program designed to assist South Australians aged over 35+ years to successfully launch and/or run a successful and sustainable business
The key to the success of these program is the ongoing support from experienced mentors and industry leaders who provide monthly 1:1 mentoring sessions. Mentoring is backed up by workshops on a range of topics including powerful business models, financial management, business planning, leadership, HR, marketing, digital strategy, media and PR. Participants leave these programs armed with a comprehensive, fully-formed business plan, ready to successfully launch or scale their business.
Current regional SAYES participant Nathan, a Renmark local, recently launched his new ‘Support Ya Local’ T‑shirt line as part of his Ryde Clothing brand. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak the teenager was set to open a local bricks and mortar store but is now shifting his focus to eCommerce. Nathan is confident that he will successfully pivot his label to combat the crisis, thanks to the business plan he developed as a participant in regional SAYES.
We are currently taking applications for the South Australian Business Chamber’s ENCORE program starting in July. To register your interest, click here
