South Australia’s Seasonal And Regional Workforce Program

The Seasonal and Regional Workforce Program is a $4.45m state funded package to help fill seasonal and regional workforce vacancies across South Australia over the next six months.

The program recognises the significant impact of COVID-19 restrictions and border closures on reducing the pool of available workers to the agriculture, tourism and hospitality sectors in regional South Australia.

Subsidies and incentives available for job seekers and employers include:

  • $500 to $2000 to subsidise the cost to students in taking up regional tourism and hospitality jobs.
  • Up to $6000 Federal government support for workers moving for agricultural work
  • Support for workers moving to regions through the state’s eight Regional Development Australia (RDA) Boards.
  • Support to industry for Medi-Hotel quarantine for Pacific Island workers.
  • A campaign to drive worker recruitment and attract workers to seasonal and regional work vacancies in South Australia.
