Returning To Work Safely In A Post Pandemic Era

The onset of the pandemic has brought a variety of challenges to local businesses including the effective management of Work Health and Safety measures by employers when operating in the new’ normal. All employers have a duty to provide safe working conditions for their staff and those that fail to do so could face a range of sizeable fines, sanctions, negative publicity and risk temporary shutdown.

Earlier this week, the first instalment of the South Australian Business Chamber’s new Back to Work’ webinar series was launched. Presented by our expert Senior Workplace Relations Consultants, the first episode discussed a range of key topics relating to WHS compliance and how employers can keep their staff safe upon returning to work. These topics include: the implementation of a COVID-Safe Plan, WHS obligations when working from home, measures for reducing risk in the workplace and what to do when staff or customers are reluctant to adapt to the necessary safety measures.
