South Australian SMEs will have access to practical support to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions through a new government-subsidised net zero program, which will be delivered by the South Australian Business Chamber in the second half of this year.
The program, which has been successfully piloted, is supported by a $150,000 grant from the Malinauskas government and will run from June-December 2023.
Participants will be able to access online training as well as 1:1 support to help them better understand their emissions and how to reduce them.
Registrations of interest are now being sought from both metropolitan and regional small and family businesses to participate in the program. There are only 100 places available.
Businesses with less than 200 full-time staff are eligible to apply. The program value is $1,800 (ex GST), with the SA Government subsidising $1,500 of that fee. Participants will be required to pay a $300 fee (ex GST) upon enrolment.
