New UK Cyber And Defence Deal For SA

The South Australian Business Chamber Today — 27 January, 2022

South Australia has signed a three-year deal to strengthen ties with the UK through the space, cyber and defence industries. This agreement is the first of its kind in Australia and will unlock billions of dollars in economic activity.

The memorandum of understanding intends to cut red tape for South Australian businesses looking to break into the UK market. It will also help implement Australia’s AUKUS pact with the UK and US by improving cyber security capabilities. The benefits of a strategic collaboration like this will build on the opportunities arising from the recently signed free trade agreement between the UK and Australia.
