South Australian businesses looking to improve energy efficiency should keep an eye out, with the next round of the State Government’s grants still set to open by the end of July.
Now called “Powering Business”, this round will offer grants between $2,500 and $75,000 (up from $50k) for energy-efficient equipment or site improvements.
As announced in the 2025 – 26 State Budget, $20 million has been allocated for this round through the Business Growth Fund (formerly the Economic Recovery Fund).
The grants were previously limited to small businesses and not-for-profits, and this time around, medium-sized businesses will also be eligible to apply.
The grants may suit SA businesses that are thinking about replacing old equipment, upgrading existing equipment or making other improvements to reduce and manage energy use and costs.
The previous round of this grant program was heavily oversubscribed, so businesses are encouraged to act early to avoid missing out once applications open.
