Adelaide Shores has a new name. The iconic holiday, sports and adventure destination is now known as West Beach Parks. Adelaide Shores recently teamed with South Australian agency Fuller Brand and Communication to research and develop the new look and name for the award-winning 135 hectare coastal precinct. The brief was to find a name that better reflects all that’s on offer at the beachside location and so…West Beach Parks was born.
Chief executive Kate Williams oversees the parks’ 320 caravan and camping sites and more than 120 cabins across their two sites – which were formerly known in the community as the West Beach Caravan Park and Adelaide Shores Resort.
“The process was rigorous, the challenge was significant and the result is fantastic,” Kate said.
“We needed to find a name that resonates with all who visit us and it was obvious that Adelaide Shores repeatedly missed the mark. It confused and misled many interstate visitors. Change was essential. West Beach Parks much better represents the fully integrated and amazing offer – from the Big4 Holiday Park and Resort to the golf, mini-golf and aerial adventure park Mega Adventure and the baseball, football and diamond sports parks.”
