The South Australian Business Chamber Today

Member Profile - Tatiara Transport

Tatiara Transport delivers far and wide, using its ideal location – between Melbourne, Adelaide and the South East – as a base for its operations.

Co-owner Tracey Richards is proud to look over the second-generation Bordertown business, operating six prime movers.

From what began as a small operation in 1967, Tracey has helped build up the business which employs up to 20 people at a time across the region. She’s also proud to be a strong woman heading a regional business in male-dominated industries – trucking and transport.

While she doesn’t always know what’s in the refrigerated trucks they drive or in the packages they’re delivering, Tracey says the best time of year is when they deliver the Crisco Christmas hampers to families throughout the South East, who look forward to receiving their packages.
