The South Australian Business Chamber last year released a discussion paper on methamphetamine use in the workplace, which revealed that on any given day, an alarming 5,000 people in South Australia working in safety-sensitive industries were either under the influence of ice or suffering its hangover effects.
The misuse of alcohol and drugs can present a serious risk to health, safety and workplace productivity. The South Australian Business Chamber member Screening On Site is on a mission to develop safe and clean worksites by providing a 24/7 drug and alcohol screening service for all industries.
Screening On Site works across multiple sectors including construction, manufacturing and transport, providing tailored drug and alcohol management plans and supporting businesses with disciplinary processes and employee-assistance programs.
Demand for its services has grown with offices in Adelaide and Naracoorte and plans to launch in Melbourne.
