Tucked away in Dover Gardens you’ll find Adelaide’s only operational suburban winery – Patritti. While urban sprawl has meant Adelaide’s other vineyards and market gardens have slowly been swallowed, the vines grown by Giovanni Patritti and winery he built after he migrated to Australia in 1926 stand strong.
Giovanni’s grandson, James Mungall, is a wine maker and general manager at Patritti, and still lives in the family home at the site.
Tradition is everything. While Patritti now exports 80 per cent of its wine, James respects the tradition and history that comes with his family brand. Built on the foundations of supplying wine to Italians and other new Australians across the nation, Patritti still has a loyal customer base.
Patritti recently signed on as a partner at the South Australian Business Chamber’s Chamber events. Join us at future events and enjoy a drop of their fine wines, which are consistently awarded more than 90 points.
