For more than 100 years, Employers Mutual Limited – otherwise known as EML – has been managing workplace insurance and injured workers’ compensation in one form or another. From what began as a mutual association of five workers across the banking, plumbing and transport industries, EML has grown to help generations of Australians get their lives back by supporting positive return to work outcomes.
As well as managing workers’ insurance and personal injury claims, EML is also driving solutions to improve work health safety. The organisation has more than 40 mobile claims staff providing personalised support from the City to Ceduna and is running several unique health and wellbeing programs across regional South Australia.
EML works closely with the South Australian Business Chamber too, including partnering with us on our Regional Voice visits, and on our mental health discussion paper, Minds at Work: Is Your Business Mentally Healthy? which we released in March.
In this week’s member profile, state manager Jared Simes shares how important health and wellbeing is for EML, and the importance of building a trusted and meaningful relationship with employees. Watch it here:
