We are proud to announce a stellar line-up of speakers for our International Women’s Day event being held at Adelaide Oval on Wednesday 8 March 2023, with Genevieve Rueger, Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot and Linda Williams, South Australia’s Deputy Police Commissioner leading the program.

Genevieve Rueger had an impressive career serving in the Australian Defence Force for 22 years, most notably as a Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot and as a member of the Counter Terrorism Regiment in Sydney. She was deployed many times both domestically and internationally, including East Timor (2006) and Afghanistan (2009).

Genevieve is now a qualified firefighter for the Metropolitan Fire Service in Adelaide, fly’s Blackhawk firebombers for a private company and is a mother of two.

Linda Williams is South Australia’s highest-ever ranking police officer, with a 37-year history in the force starting as a cadet at age 17.

Deputy Commissioner Williams, who is now proud to celebrate her status as the highest-ranking female in SA’s police force, once shunned such terms as trailblazer’ and role model’, explaining in a 2020 interview with The Advertiser that she now realises the significance of her appointment to female police officers.

Taking the stage alongside Genevieve and Linda will be Sarah Marquis, Owner, and Chief Winemaker of Mollydooker Wines in McLaren Vale, Alexia Eleni Frangos, Managing Director of Lexicon Creative Agency and Kristen Jelk, Director of Janesce Skincare. The event will be facilitated by Channel 7’s Elspeth Hussey.

The annual luncheon was previously held at SkyCity, but this year we have relocated the 2023 event to Adelaide Oval, accommodating a doubling of capacity following two sell-out years.

We are looking forward to welcoming a massive crowd this year at Adelaide Oval. We hope to see both women and men come together to hear our speakers, enjoy a fantastic lunch, and embrace the meaning behind International Women’s Day.

The theme this year is #EmbraceEquity. It’s important that the business world puts a continued focus on gender equity and makes it part of its DNA. We intend on exploring this concept with our diverse, and inspirational panel of speakers.

Guests will be treated to a two-course luncheon in the stunning William Magarey Room, with drinks, live entertainment, and some take-home goodies.

More than 400 tickets have already been sold. It is anticipated that this in-demand event will sell out soon. Tickets are available here.
