The South Australian Business Chamber Today — 13 January, 2022
As of 12.01am this morning, the Government of South Australia released a range of new requirements relating to exposures sites, contacts and diagnosis requirements. Significantly for business, South Australia’s Chief Public Health Officer has the authority to give specified workplaces or industries different requirements for isolation, testing and reporting. There are limited details at this stage on who can apply to be a ‘specified workplace’ however here at the South Australian Business Chamber, we are investigating this and will provide more details as soon as we can.
Also new is the ability for close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case to collect a Rapid Antigen Test kit from a nominated collection point. They are only to collect the number of kits necessary for compliance with this direction and they can only use it for the specified purposes outlined on the SA Health website — www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/COVIDRapidAntigenTesting .
The SA Health website advises that all positive results must be recorded with SA Health using the form provided on the SA Health website. — <Rapid antigen testing (RAT) for COVID-19 | SA Health>
Other existing requirements remain.
