INTRODUCING A NEW NATIONAL DAY OF CELEBRATION

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Surf Life Saving Australia will launch the very first Red & Yellow Day, a new nationwide celebration of Surf Life Saving and the thousands of volunteer surf lifesavers who keep our beaches safe.

Workplaces and businesses across the country can play a powerful role in bringing the day to life, by engaging your teams, amplifying the message and helping to raise vital funds.

RED & YELLOW DAY IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Improve public awareness of the vital work of Surf Life Saving and the thousands of volunteer surf lifesavers around the country.
  • Increase fundraising to maintain and replace equipment, train volunteer surf lifesavers and deliver water safety education in communities.
  • Inspire more Australians to get involved and support their local community.

HOW CAN YOUR WORKPLACE GET INVOLVED?

  • Encourage staff to wear red and yellow on Wednesday, March 4
  • Host a morning tea, bake sale or sausage sizzle to raise funds
  • Purchase a Red & Yellow Day party pack or decorate your office space with red & yellow
  • Utilise the office resources available via redandyellowday.org.au including posters, email signatures and virtual backgrounds (available online from mid-February)
  • Consider matching staff donations or setting a workplace fundraising goal
  • Received a cash or cheque donation? If you would like these to count towards your online fundraising goal, we recommend banking the cash/cheque yourself and using that money to make an online donation to the Red & Yellow Day Appeal or your fundraising page.
