Get alerted about access issues with the Disability Access Reporting Tool

Thursday, April 7th 2022

The Office of the Commissioner for Equal Opportunity is introducing a tool to report difficulties accessing public venues and businesses.

The system, known as the Disability Access Reporting Tool (DART), will make it easier for people living with disability to report access issues.

DART is an online form that triggers an email directly to owners/operators, informing them about access issues experienced by the user and reminding them of their obligations under anti-discrimination law.

It’s an opportunity for business premises to become aware of, and address an access issue. Accordingly, venues will be better educated, can address issues proactively, and avoid formal complaints.
