Small businesses across Australia will continue to have access to free mental health and financial counselling support, with the Federal Government extending funding for the NewAccess for Small Business Owners (NASBO) and the Small Business Debt Helpline until the end of June 2027.

NASBO, delivered by Beyond Blue, provides free and confidential mental health coaching tailored to the pressures of running a small business. The program is designed to help owners manage stress, overwhelm and the day-to-day challenges that come with operating a business.

The Small Business Debt Helpline offers free, independent and confidential financial counselling to small businesses experiencing financial difficulty, helping owners understand their options and take practical steps forward.

The South Australian Business Chamber has welcomed the extension, recognising the continued pressures facing many business owners.
