Don't Forget Your Mental Health

The South Australian Business Chamber Today — 27 January, 2022
Business ownership is something to be proud of, but that does not make it easy, especially during a global pandemic. Business owners feel responsible for their own livelihoods and those of their employees, which means they’re more likely to experience stress, have a poor work-life balance and suffer from anxiety.

Following the July 2021 lockdown here in South Australia, more than 70% of business owners told us that the lockdown had impacted their mental health or the mental health of their staff. As part of National Mental Health month in October 2021, we had a range of guests from our own events trainee Stacey Searle, to former AFL Crows footballer Brett Burton. The common donominator is that we all need to look out for our own mental health and business owners especially need to learn more about a range of strategies including meditation, mindfulness, a healthy and active lifestyle and plenty of sleep.

Please revisit our resources at any time across the year if you need a little reminder about looking after your mental health. Find out more »
