The South Australian Business Chamber Today

DON'T FORGET: Pay now / Train later

Wednesday, June 8th 2022

Giving your staff the skills they need to be the most effective in their roles could not be more important as we head out of the pandemic. Without sounding pessimistic, the business community is now facing further challenges ahead with rising inflation, increasing interest rates and a tight labour market.

All of these elements lead to a critical time for retaining your staff. Training has been identified as a key way to do this and to create a positive culture of ongoing learning and development in your business.

With EOFY fast approaching, the South Australian Business Chamber can invoice you today and schedule the delivery of training at a time convenient for you.

David McGinlay, Chief Executive of Disability Rights Advocacy Service is one satisfied customer of the South Australian Business Chamber’s customer service training.

We provide a service to clients, so we needed an organisation to provide us with customer service training.

Our clients are vulnerable and when they come to us they are in crisis. Their needs at that time are of paramount importance to them and they can get angry if our advocates can’t give them what they want right away.

Our advocates are passionate people who really care about what they are doing. But they did need to learn how to say no in a respectful way that still made the client feel heard.

The best part about the South Australian Business Chamber training was the interaction and the ability to discuss the situations that we face and how we can best deal with them. We were not just spoken at, it was engagement with the facilitator that helped us see that there were new ways we could do things. “
