South Australian businesses eager to stand out and cement their place in the government supply chain are encouraged to register now to attend the 2025 Meet the Buyer event.
From 8:30am on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025, Meet the Buyer will transform the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena into a hub of ideas, opportunities and connections.
Hosted by the Office of the Industry Advocate and the SA Government, this year’s event has been expanded in a partnership with the South Australian Business Chamber.
Meet the Buyer offers a springboard for local businesses ready to step up and make their mark by enabling one-on-one conversations with key government buyers and decision-makers.
The free annual event for business will be officially opened by the Premier, the Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP, joined by Industry Advocate John Chapman OAM and South Australian Business Chamber Chief Executive Officer Andrew Kay.
Meet the Buyer is a demonstration of the government’s commitment to ‘looking local first’, and with State Government contracts delivering billions of annual economic benefit to South Australian companies every year, the opportunities are immense.
Meet the Buyer allows businesses of all sizes – from sole traders through to major players – to arm themselves with the information they need to successfully navigate the procurement process and expand their network of government contacts.
In addition to representatives from more than 40 State Government departments and public authorities, Meet the Buyer exhibitors will include head contractors from major infrastructure projects, industry associations and local government representatives.
Suppliers can also attend a series of tailored workshops to help them build their understanding of government procurement stages, improve their tender writing skills and learn how to get the most out of the pre-tender briefing and supplier debriefing process.
