The South Australian Business Chamber Launches New Buy Local To Save Your Local Campaign

As Government restrictions ease in the coming weeks, the South Australian Business Chamber urges South Australians to purchase products and services from local businesses to assist the State’s economic recovery.

The South Australian Business Chamber’s Buy Local to Save Local’ campaign is critical to the survival of many SMEs across the State, with many being forced to shut down in the wake of the outbreak. We encourage consumers to take a proactive approach to buying by purchasing from local businesses as often as possible.

The South Australian Business Chamber CEO, Martin Haese, stresses the importance of buying local, There will be widespread carnage if South Australians don’t get behind small local businesses in the immediate weeks once restrictions are eased.” Mr Haese pleads to local consumers to choose wisely when shopping for everyday items, as well as those special purchases, Think about your local florist, your family-owned grocer, your favorite restaurant, physiotherapist or hardware store.”

So, before ordering products online from international retailers, think about what’s available on your doorstep. Despite many local businesses shutting up shop, just as many are now trading online. When you buy local you are supporting local families, as well as the economic prosperity of South Australia.

It is up to us as a state to help our business community recover so our economy can thrive in the coming months.

If you are a business and want help sourcing local products or services to support your operations, contact the South Australian Business Chamber on 8300 0000 – Whatever your business needs, our members can provide it, and we are happy to put them in contact with you.
