IR Awards Do you have it covered Annual Wage Review Webinar June 2025

Our Business Advice Hotline provides lots of advice to employers on Awards, particularly regarding classification of employees and interpretation of Awards.

This is because Awards cover many working people and employers in Australia. Different awards apply to different industries and occupations.

Awards set out the minimum pay rates and conditions of employment, including:

  • penalty rates, overtime and casual rates
  • annual and other types of leave
  • hours of work
  • allowances.

It’s important that as employers you provide your employees with at least the minimum entitlements for wages and conditions of employment. These entitlements are most often found in Awards or Enterprise Agreements.

In early June 2025, the Fair Work Commission will hand down its Annual Wage Review Decision. The decision may provide for an increase to the National Minimum Wage and to Modern Awards, effective from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2025.
