In a night filled with celebration and recognition, Salisbury-based speciality pharmaceutical Mayne Pharma clinched the prestigious title of South Australian Business of the Year, while grower-owned premium quality almond producer Almondco was honoured as South Australia’s Exporter of the Year at the 2025 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards.
These accolades were among the highlights of an evening that saw 27 of the state’s most outstanding businesses acknowledged in various categories, including Blue Lake Milling, named Regional Business of the Year, and Consunet, recognised as Innovative Business of the Year.
The awards ceremony, hosted by the South Australian Business Chamber in collaboration with the Government of South Australia, took place at an exclusive gala dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre. A crowd of close to 600 comprising business leaders and members of both the Government and Opposition gathered to honour South Australian business excellence in a night of glamour and celebration.
Premier Peter Malinauskas praised the calibre of this year’s awards, commending the South Australian Business Chamber for delivering the event that celebrates the resilience and achievements of the state’s business community. He highlighted that the quality of nominations reflects the outstanding companies we have in South Australia and congratulated all the nominees, finalists and winners.
Our CEO, Andrew Kay, praised the achievements of the night’s winners. “The quality of submissions was incredibly strong once again,” said Mr Kay. “Choosing a winning business from the finalists was challenging across all categories, highlighting the growing number of innovative and high-achieving businesses that call South Australia home.”
We congratulate all the winners and express our sincere gratitude to our major sponsors, Thomas Foods, William Buck and the University of South Australia, all the category sponsors, and the Government of South Australia, whose support made the event possible.
The South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards will return in 2026, continuing to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution of our local businesses to South Australia’s social, environmental, and economic success.
