Mark is the owner of Kool Tours, an Aboriginal tourism experience delivered across his ancestral lands and waters. In 2024, Kool Tours was inducted into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame and recognised nationally as the Bronze Medallist for the third-best Aboriginal tourism product in Australia.

Mark previously served as Chairperson of State Aboriginal Heritage and has played a significant role in cultural leadership and knowledge sharing. In 2019, he coordinated a journey of Ngarrindjeri Elders to South Dakota, USA, where they conducted ceremony alongside Lakota Elders, strengthening international Indigenous cultural connections.

He holds a Graduate Diploma of Natural and Cultural Resource Management from Deakin University (2016) and authored a thesis titled The Aboriginal Man in Contemporary Australia in 2017. Mark is a cultural lawman, a father of five, and a proud grandfather to two grandsons.
