Some might say Peter Smyth, director of Smyth’s Confectionery, has one of the best jobs in the world. As part of his daily duties, the confectioner taste-tests its sweet treats from lollies to apricot delights to jellies - to ensure they’re up to scratch. While Smyth’s Confectionery is probably best known for its annual Christmas Mix sold in supermarkets nationally, the family-run business also manufactures a range of sugar-coated products for other brands including Golden Days.
