It’s every parent’s worst nightmare – to be told your child has cancer. This is a reality confronting more than 400 South Australian families each year, with leukaemia the most common type of childhood cancer. Thankfully the Childhood Cancer Association is there for children and their families who face this devastating disease, providing essential services such as counselling, educational support and accommodation for regional families.
