The Ambassador Of The People’s Republic Of China To The Commonwealth Of Australia, Cheng Jingye, And The Acting US Deputy Chief Of Mission To Australia, Michael Heath, Will Headline The Inaugural the South Australian Business Chamber International Trade Expo & Conference, To Be Held In October.

The South Australian Business Chamber Is Thrilled To Announce The Participation Of These Senior International Diplomats Ahead Of The Wider Program Launch Later This Week.

The Inaugural the South Australian Business Chamber International Trade Expo & Conference, Presented By The Department For Trade, Tourism And Investment, Will Be Held On 4 October At The Adelaide Convention Centre, And Will Be Followed That Evening By The 2018 the South Australian Business Chamber Export Awards.

The South Australian Business Chamber will be hosting the conference for the first time, recognising the need to boost South Australia’s exporting potential, encouraging two-way trade between our largest international partners and providing invaluable advice to businesses on how to better promote their products and services to the global market.

The South Australian Business Chamber Executive Director Industry and Government Engagement, Anthony Penney, said delegates to the one-day conference would hear from expert speakers providing insights into global trade trends and the possibilities and pitfalls of entering into specific markets.

A series of smaller breakout sessions will focus on a range of topics such as e‑commerce, distributor selection, market research and negotiation techniques. Delegates will also hear from those who have taken the exporting leap and succeeded.

Mr Penney said the South Australian Business Chamber trade expo, held at the same time as the conference, would provide a forum for businesses to hear how the export journey can be simplified and facilitated. The expo will feature logistics providers, government trade departments and e‑commerce and social media service providers on the expo floor.

This is the first time such a comprehensive expo will have been held in South Australia, featuring such significant and highly-regarded speakers as the Chinese Ambassador and the US Deputy Chief of Mission, on the same day,” Mr Penney said.

Our role at the South Australian Business Chamber is to help boost local operators, and that includes assisting them on their exporting journey to ensure they can be as successful as possible. If we can help local businesses in the international marketplace, we can help boost the South Australian economy.”

The full the South Australian Business Chamber International Trade Expo & Conference program will be launched in the South Australian Business Chamber Today on Thursday 16 August.
