It’s Time To Take South Australia’s Regional Pulse, And the South Australian Business Chamber Is Asking All Business Owners, Operators And Decision-Makers To Tell Us What Matters Most – Whether It Be The State Of The Economy, Taxes, Access To Training Or The Impacts Of Online Shopping.

The South Australian Business Chamber Is Today Launching The 2018 Regional Voice Survey, Which Will Follow In The Footsteps Of Our Highly-Regarded 2016 Regional Voice Report. Our New Survey Asks Regional Business About Their Operating Conditions, Concerns, Challenges, And What They Need From Government And Key Support Organisations To Ensure Their Success.

It has been two years since the South Australian Business Chamber took the pulse of businesses across regional South Australia, and the time has come to again ask what matters most to owners, operators and decision makers – from the large to the self-employed – across our state.

Following the South Australian Business Chamber’s last survey of regional businesses in 2016, we released our inaugural 2016 Regional Voice report. The report was a comprehensive summary of the issues facing distinct regions across South Australia.

The South Australian Business Chamber Executive Director Industry and Government Engagement, Anthony Penney, said the 2016 Regional Voice report highlighted many important business-related issues, and was used as the basis for the South Australian Business Chamber’s roadshow of Regional Voice events around the state.

The Regional Voice report was significant because it provided us with a raft of information which we could then present to our state’s politicians, giving them a broader focus and better understanding of the matters most important to regional businesses,” Mr Penney said.

In 2016 regional businesses shared their concerns about issues from tax rates to labour costs, infrastructure, skills shortages and the state of the economy, and we then presented them in a statistically robust and consumer-friendly format to encourage political action.”

The South Australian Business Chamber is calling for an even larger and more representative response from regional decision-makers to ensure that when the results are released, they pack a powerful punch. The more people who fill out the survey, the more relevant it becomes.

Help us to help your business and your region by taking the time to fill out this survey, so we can better represent you in our dealings with industry and government stakeholders,” Mr Penney said.

This survey is sponsored by EML and is being conducted in conjunction with the South Australian Business Chamber’s network of associated regional chambers of commerce and Regional Development Australia.
