In a night filled with celebration and recognition, locally owned baby formula manufacturer Mumamoo Group Pty Ltd clinched the prestigious title of South Australian Business of the Year, while electronics manufacturer REDARC Electronics was honoured as South Australia’s Exporter of the Year at the 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards.
These esteemed accolades were among the highlights of an evening that saw 23 of the state’s most outstanding businesses acknowledged in various categories, including Rainy Day Recruitment, named Indigenous Business of the Year, and ResourceCo Holdings, recognised as ESG Business of the Year.
The awards ceremony, hosted by the South Australian Business Chamber in collaboration with the Government of South Australia, took place at the Adelaide Convention Centre last night. More than 600 business leaders gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of local enterprises, marking a return to the vibrant atmosphere of recognition events not experienced since the onset of the pandemic.
Premier Peter Malinauskas MP has offered congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s awards.
“The South Australian Business Chamber has put together a fantastic awards program to honour the hard work and ingenuity that each of these businesses has displayed.
“The quality of nominations reflects the outstanding companies we have in South Australia.
“I would like to congratulate all the nominees, finalists and winners, in particular REDARC Electronics for winning the South Australian Exporter of the Year Award and Mumamoo Group for winning the Business of the Year Award,” said The Premier.
Andrew Kay, CEO of the South Australian Business Chamber, praised the achievements of the night’s winners, noting the challenge faced by judges in selecting from an outstanding pool of nominees across all categories.
“With over 250 businesses participating and a total of 600 nominations submitted across 24 categories, the competition was fierce.
“It is evident that South Australia boasts a growing number of innovative and high-achieving businesses, of which we should all be immensely proud.
“I extend my warm congratulations to all the winners of the 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards and express my sincere gratitude to our major sponsors, MEGT and Thomas Foods, category sponsors, the South Australian Business Chamber staff, and the Government of South Australia. Their dedication made this event possible,” Mr Kay added.
The South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards will return in 2024, continuing to honour South Australian business excellence.
