The South Australian Business Chamber will hit the road today taking a team of experts to Victor Harbor to deliver face-to-face advice to help grow local businesses.

The independent and peak business body will deliver a business essentials seminar in the town as part of its partnership with City of Victor Harbor and Business Victor Harbor.

The South Australian Business Chamber CEO, Martin Haese, said more than 50 local businesses were expected to attend the full day Seminar which will feature presentations from experts in business growth, marketing, and industrial relations.

The South Australian Business Chamber is excited to deliver its first Business Essentials Seminar in Victor Harbor, which will help fast-track local business recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mr Haese.

We know SMEs are very busy people and there is an overload of information right now with regards to COVID-19. Our Business Essentials Seminar is just that – it will give local businesses the essential information they need to know right now to protect and grow their business. Not over the phone, not over zoom, but face-to-face with real people who are experts in business growth.”

The Business Essentials Seminar will kick off with a panel discussion about the broader economic impacts of COVID-19 followed by three presentations by the South Australian Business Chamber experts on Industrial Relations, including what businesses need to do to be eligible for JobKeeper 2.0, reinvention and how businesses can thrive in 2020 and how to pivot marketing to target South Australian customers amidst ongoing travel restrictions.

City of Victor Harbor CEO, Victoria MacKirdy said the Business Essentials Seminar would help local businesses bounce back from COVID-19.

Our partnership with the South Australian Business Chamber and Business Victor Harbor is the forefront of Council’s COVID-19 targeted support measures for our local business community,” she said.

Together, we can provide Victor Harbor businesses with the right mix of tools to adapt their business processes and help our local economy emerge through the COVID-19 pandemic stronger than ever.”

Chairperson of Business Victor Harbor, Michael Schubert, said the Seminar would address challenges at a local level.

Together with the South Australian Business Chamber we have listened to businesses on the ground and responded with a Seminar tailored specifically to suit the needs of local businesses,” he said.

Through the historic tripartite partnership with the South Australian Business Chamber, City of Victor Harbor and Business Victor Harbor, local businesses are receiving more support than they ever have before at a time when they need it the most.

The Business Essential Seminar will be held today at the McCracken Country Club from 12pm. Attendance is free for the South Australian Business Chamber members and members of Business Victor Harbor, including those recently joined through the City of Victor Harbor partnership.
