A new year brings new ideas and South Australians over 35 looking to start or grow a business in 2021 are invited to attend the South Australian Business Chamber’s Ready to Launch event on 11 February.
‘Ready to Launch’ will provide start-ups and small businesses owners with information about how the ENCORE program can help them achieve their business goals.
The South Australian Business Chamber CEO, Martin Haese said next week’s event would be the second Ready to Launch held by the South Australian Business Chamber following last year’s inaugural successful event for young entrepreneurs.
“Ready to Launch is a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs looking to take that next leap of faith with their business ideas,” said Mr Haese.
“This year, South Australia’s economic recovery will rely heavily on business owners taking risks to grow their business and create more jobs for the State to bounce back from COVID-19.
“We’re hoping Ready to Launch will unearth new business talent, ideas and innovation that will ensure SA emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic in a strong economic position.”
The South Australian Business Chamber’s ENCORE program is a 12-month workshop and mentoring program that has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs since it began in 2017.
The Ready to Launch – ENCORE event will feature key speakers with a wealth of business knowledge to help entrepreneurs kick start their own successful business journeys.
Attendees will also hear from previous participants of the South Australian Business Chamber’s ENCORE program who have developed their business ideas into thriving enterprises such as Kate Campbell and Kate O’Donoghue of the hugely successful Play Pouch Australia business.
Kate Campbell graduated from ENCORE in 2019 and has since seen Play Pouch achieve global success.
“Play Pouch changes the way kids play and pack-away, teaching valuable life skills and saving precious time,” said Kate Campbell.
“Play Pouch is now selling in China, US, New Zealand and Australia and has achieved high growth in sales since our launch in 2014.
“The program includes one-on-one mentoring throughout the year, which helped us make crucial decision to grow our business.”
Ready to launch will be held at the South Australian Business Chamber on Thursday 11 February from 6:00pm‑7:00pm. Registration is free.
